Award-Winning Projects
The University of Georgia Pet Health Center Expansion, delivered using a design/build approach, demonstrated Piedmont’s ability to lead complex, multi-scope projects within an active campus environment. The project included stormwater infrastructure, a new parking lot, a building expansion, and interior renovations—all coordinated under a single point of responsibility.
Early in construction, the team encountered unsuitable soil conditions that threatened the schedule. Through proactive problem-solving, strategic resequencing, and close coordination with trade partners, Piedmont successfully mitigated delays and delivered the project on time without compromising quality or safety.
The result is a modernized facility that expands clinical capacity, enhances teaching environments, and supports the University of Georgia’s continued growth in veterinary education.
The Augusta University Medical College of Georgia Admissions Renovation highlights Piedmont’s expertise in delivering high-quality renovations within occupied environments. The project transformed an open, cubicle-style workspace into a functional, private office setting designed to support admissions operations better.
Working within an active facility, Piedmont carefully sequenced demolition, construction, and finish work to minimize disruption while maintaining safety and productivity. Piedmont Construction Group completed the project with zero lost-time incidents and delivered a significantly improved, professional environment for staff and visitors alike.
